Performance Management - Principles and Practice

Competence based performance management at the individual level translates into improved organisational effectiveness.

This 5-day in-depth programme develops the ability of participants to focus strategically on corporate performance management, enabling them to identify key development issues to focus on at the individual level. Competency based assessment coupled with line manager and peer coaching provides outstanding opportunities to formulate and implement individually tailored personal development programmes.

Who should attend?

The programme is developed for those managers in an organisation who are involved in existing performance management systems or the implementation of new systems. It would particularly helpful to managers in the HR function.

This highly participative programme incorporates a balance of theoretical learning, group interaction and syndicate work across a series of real-life situations and case studies. Participants have the opportunity to focus on the requirements of a successful a performance management strategy and its implementation. They have the opportunity through case study and syndicate role play exercises to practice the management of individuals' performance and to apply their learning in an environment that promotes meaningful and valued feedback.
