Materials Management for Engineering Projects
The process employed for the supply of materials and equipment for capital expenditure projects requires specialist knowledge of project management and practice.

In heavy industries such as the oil and gas sector, mining and utilities it is usual for there to be an on-going round of capital expenditure projects aimed at improving or expanding the plant or its infrastructure. Ranging from a few hundred thousand dollars to several million dollars overall budget the materials element is always a major component of the total spend.
