The need for understanding and managing change has never been greater. As organisations become leaner and more competitive, supply chains become more effective and integrated, and as information systems and communications become faster and more sophisticated it is vital that managers need to be able to lead and manage change at all levels in their organisation.

Introduction
Some 70% of change initiatives fail. The need for training and personal development in change management and leadership has never been greater. This course looks at how and why change occurs in businesses as well as how we manage and support the change process. These changes, particularly during more Complex change processes in the Supply Chain, require understanding and new skills at all levels of management.

Change can vary from minor departmental changes to transformational change across a business and its place in the supply chain. This course will help your understand how to prepare for and manage the change process as well as dealing with some of the conflicts that can arise within teams and businesses.

By the end of the course participants will be able to understand:

  • How change affects people and teams and how best to manage them through the change

  • The different types of change that can occur
  • The implications of change for Supply Chain management
  • Leadership and management in the change process
  • Diagnosing the need for change
  • Planning and implementing change
  • How it affects individuals and teams
  • How we can monitor and measure success
Case studies and a number of exercises will be used to reinforce learning and stimulate reflection and discussion in the session.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss topics in the session and bring their own experiences and knowledge into class as part of the development process.

As part of the course, we will be holding an excusive Leaders dinner on the 5th October in collaboration with the Institute of Directors (IoD) with the theme "Global Trade Opportunities" which will explore best practice for global trade and you will have an opportunity to hear the latest from the Brexit negotiations.  This wil be free of charge for all delegates on the masterclass.
