Developing and Improving Customer Relationships

Develop a real understanding of the needs of both internal and external customers and how to promote effective client relationships and communications.

This course focuses on generating a real understanding of the needs of clients and customers and introduces participants to the mentality that is essential to promote effective client relationships and communications.

This course is designed for participants will normally have at least two years experience within their function and are employed in jobs where they have, or should have, day-to-day contact with customers and clients. In addition to sales and marketing staff, people from the Supply, HR, Planning and Finance, and those from maintenance and facilities are amongst those with internal customers who would benefit.

The course provides participants with:

  • the ability to identify the needs of their customers, and to recognise that these needs will change over time
  • knowledge of core marketing tools and techniques as they are applicable in the both the internal and external environment
  • ability to evaluate their operating environment and trading circumstances
  • the ability to recognise the features and benefits of the services they provide and to use these as the foundation for developing relationships with clients
  • tools and techniques to nurture the relationships with clients through effective communication and flexibility
  • knowledge of the principles of Customer Relationships and how these are applied.
