Course Accreditation
OCN Credit4Learning
In cooperation with OCN Credit4Learning we are able to provide certificates of authenticated achievement for selected courses. The certificates are subject to external Quality Assurance of the assessment process.OCN Credit4Learning offers a high quality accreditation service by:
- Recognising learning programmes and courses designed for adults.
- Making awards to learners in the form of credits or certificates
- Accrediting learning taking place in a range of settings, including those where accreditation has not previously been available, including private training organisations
- Offering recognition for outcomes of learning, through a rigorous process that ensures the quality of the learning experience.
OCN Credit4Learning is a UK registered “not for profit” organisation. It is an AVA – an “Authorised Validating Agency”: a body licensed by QAA to undertake the development and recognition of individual Access programmes, the monitoring of recognised programmes and the award of certificates to successful students.
QAA is the “Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education”: the regulatory body for the national recognition of Access programmes. QAA is responsible for undertaking reviews and audits of the standards and quality of higher education. In licensing AVAs, QAA is responsible for assuring the quality of recognised Access programmes, and the adequacy of standards of student achievement.
OCN Credit4Learning accreditation is awarded to courses or modules that satisfy rigorous and individually assessed criteria for Learning Outcomes and Assessment. Individual participant assessments are subject to scrutiny by independent moderators.
